Community Outreach and Education

Community Outreach and Service activities are an integral part of the learning experience at Jayshree Periwal High School. Since its inception, Community service and engagement the core values of the school and has been one of its foundational principles. Community service initiatives in the school are spearheaded by the students in association with the NGO – Jagriti. The outreach programs gives full freedom and support to the students to initiate social service of their choice by leading awareness campaigns.

The outreach involves leading and mentoring awareness campaigns, visits to old age homes, orphanages, mental health facilities, eco-sustainability drives, to name a few. Our students learn early on that Quality Education encompasses developing the spirit of ‘giving back’ to society and reaching out to those less privileged and those who are marginalized. The best education practices, work harmoniously together with not only a student and learner centric system but also in tandem with Community Outreach activities.

A school outreach program builds partnerships between educational institutions to open up new pathways for growth and success. It paves a better road to the future for students, sponsors, and their communities.  In mentoring the projects our students develop leadership, resilience, empathy and service-mindedness among our students. To this end, our school regularly associates with NGOs, charities, social workers and causes, to provide our students bigger platforms to make a real difference. The Community Outreach Programmes at Jayshree Periwal High School aims to augment and enhance character and academic excellence alike. We empower students to make a difference and be the change. Our students choose to actively engage in community service as it begets priceless rewards and inner satisfaction. Through community service, our students experience a sense of their personal capability and responsibility for improving the lives of others. Through community service, JPites experience a sense of capability and responsibility for being the change-makers of tomorrow. Our motto – ‘Rest not till you reach’ is practiced in the true sense of the word. Once that candle of service and contribution is lit, it’s rarely extinguished.
